NOVEMBER 29, 2022 – The 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Royal Air Force Mildenhall introduced a new program to assist service members with travel; the automated passenger reservation tool.
The previous program was used through the squadron’s email.
The A-PRT is available online and service members can keep track of all updates regarding their travel.
“The system is faster, and it provides service members updates as we go,” said Staff Sgt. Christopher Smith, 100th LRS passenger travel supervisor. “We can answer any questions in the remarks section and we can also upload itineraries.”
The A-PRT is meant to streamline the permanent change of station travel process for service members.
“It gives the service member peace of mind by allowing them to check the status of their travel,” said Smith. “Before they’d have to rely on an email or phone call, now they can easily go and see the exact status of their inquiry.”
This tool has made government travel easier for the service member as well as the travel management office staff.
“The program has step-by-step instructions so the service member doesn’t encounter any issues filling out the form,” said Senior Airman Savannah Sheppard, 100th LRS passenger travel technician. “The user can expect all their travel information to be in one section.”
The new A-PRT is accessed via a link either on the virtual Military Personnel Flight checklist or email to TMO.
It is designed to help Airmen with all government related travel such as separation, retirement and permanent change of station.
