MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif – The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs’ Hero 2 Hired Mobile Job Store will visit Camp Pendleton on Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Stars and Strikes Bowling Alley located on Mainside.
The Mobile Job Store will give Marines and sailors the opportunity to seek out available jobs through the Hero 2 Hired website.
The goal of the program is to connect transitioning service members and their family members with military-friendly employers that have made a stated commitment to hire veterans.
Additionally, the program gives companies access to service members and allows them to post job openings, search for candidates and invite them to apply, and participate in hiring events.
The Mobile Job Store also provides service members assistance with resume building and translating their military skills to civilian job qualifications.
Mr. Stan Bransch,, Reserve Affairs Employment Initiative Programmer from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve – National Committee, will be in attendance to demonstrate the programs tools and functionalities.
