APRIL 26, 2023 — The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to strengthening the Coast Guard community and service by supporting members and families, announced today its annual Run to Remember will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29, 2023.
The event honors fallen Coast Guard heroes and their families, and raises funds for the organization’s tragedy assistance programs.
Supporters can take part individually by signing up directly, or by organizing an activity in their community. Involvement can include a run on a treadmill, a walk or jog around a park, or some other exercise activity.
Participants are encouraged to support the Run to Remember by purchasing a commemorative t-shirt printed with the names of the fallen. The t-shirts, which should be ordered by May 23 to guarantee delivery by Memorial Day, are priced at $27 each for adult sizes and $20 for children’s sizing.
Participants are invited to take photos and share them on social media using the hashtags #WeRemember, #FallenHeroes, #CoastGuardFoundation and #RuntoRemember.
“Every year, Coast Guard Foundation Run to Remember events bring people and communities together to honor fallen Coast Guard members,” said Susan Ludwig, president, Coast Guard Foundation. “We thank everyone who aids in our mission to support Coast Guard families in their time of great need.”
