MARCH 8, 2023 – The Defense Media Activity (DMA) and the American Forces Network (AFN) invites its overseas audiences to enjoy the military network’s live coverage of the 2023 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament, starting on Tuesday, March 14, and the 2023 NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament, starting Wednesday, March 15.
With the generous support of CBS and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), AFN will air live the 84th annual edition of the Men’s tournament, which begins on March 14, and concludes with the championship game on April 3. For audiences in the Pacific, live coverage of the Men’s tournaments will run March 15 to April 4.
The Women’s college tournament begins on March 15 and runs through the championship on April 2. For Pacific audiences, the women’s tournaments run March 16 to April 3.
AFN will also make available live streaming of the men’s and women’s tournament matches on its new video streaming app, AFN Now, with plans for four separate and simultaneous live stream channels! In addition to the live stream, games are also available on AFN Now as Video-on-Demand (VOD) content for seven days after they air live.
A total of 68 men’s teams will enter the 2023 tournament. CBS Sports will broadcast the games. The 2023 tournament will be Jim Nantz’s final season as play-by-play announcer.
AFN live men’s coverage begins, March 14, at 3 p.m., PST, on AFN|sports. In Europe, 12 p.m. (2400 hrs), Central European Time (CET). In the Pacific region, on March 15, at 8:00 a.m., Japan/Korea Time (JKT).

Viewers are encouraged to download the AFN Now app from the Android or Apple App store and register ahead of March Madness so they can enjoy the tournament from the start to its exciting conclusion.
