For your service and sacrifice, we thank you.

We are proud to salute the men and women of our armed forces and their families. Waves of Honor permits any U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman to one complimentary admission per year to either SeaWorld®, Busch Gardens®, Adventure Island®, Water Country USA®, Sesame Place®, or Aquatica SeaWorld’s Waterpark™ in San Diego for military personnel and as many as three direct dependents. Service members and their direct dependents must have a valid active military ID in order to participate. Inactive, standby and retired reserve members, military retirees, U.S. Merchant Marine and civilian Department of Defense workers are ineligible for the program. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment reserves the right to terminate the program.

Many of our parks have different hours of operation throughout the season, we encourage you to check the park operating schedule for the park you’re visiting. SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa and SeaWorld San Diego are open year round. Check the schedules for our parks that have seasonal operating hours by selecting: Busch Gardens Williamsburg, SeaWorld San Antonio, Sesame Place, Aquatica San Diego, Adventure Island, and Water Country USA.

Waves of Honor Complimentary Admission Offer

  1. What is this program about? Waves of Honor Complimentary Admission is a tribute to the men and women of the U.S. armed forces including active duty military, reserve soldiers, airmen, Marines, sailors and Coast Guardsmen.
  2. What does it include? Waves of Honor complimentary admission permits any U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman to one complimentary admission per year to either SeaWorld®, Busch Gardens®, Adventure Island®, Water Country USA®, or Sesame Place® or Aquatica SeaWorld’s Waterpark™ in San Diego for military personnel and as many as three direct dependents. The offer is valid for one park and one visit only.
  3. Do military retirees qualify? Civilians working for the Department of Defense? Only U.S. active duty military qualify for the Waves of Honor complimentary admission.
  4. Do reservists and National Guardsmen qualify? Certainly. All active and ready reservists and members of the National Guard, regardless of deployment status, qualify.
  5. You offer a total of four free tickets. What if there are more people in my family? You may purchase additional tickets by visiting a base MWR office.
  6. My spouse is serving overseas. Can dependents visit the park without their service member?Yes. You need to verify your direct dependent military status using Troop ID online. Once verified you can print out up to three direct dependent single day admission tickets.
  7. But I am a single parent serving overseas. My children are living with a relative. How can my kids visit? The primary caregiver should contact the Guest Relations Department of the park they’d like to visit. They will make accommodations for minor dependents. Proof of military status and deployment is required.
  8. I am service member from an Allied country, does this program apply to me? No. The Waves of Honor Program only applies to U.S. military members.
  9. What is Troop ID?Troop ID is a credential issued by ID.me that allows verified members of the military community (e.g. Active Duty, Veterans, Retirees, Military Spouses and Military Family Members) to access programs intended exclusively for members of the military community. Please note that our brand partners may only accept certain subsegments of the military community for any particular offer. By way of example an “Active Duty” Troop ID holder may be eligible for certain offers while a “Military Family” Troop ID holder may not be eligible for that same offer. Learn more here.

  11. Which Internet browser versions does Troop ID support? Troop ID supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 9 and later versions.

Any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman is entitled to free admission under the Here’s to the Heroes program. He or she need only register, either by clicking here and submitting his or her information or in the entrance plaza of participating parks, and show a Department of Defense photo ID. As many as three direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to free admission. Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult must accompany minor dependents, and dependent ages 10 and over must present valid dependent I.D.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg, SeaWorld San Antonio and Sesame Place are seasonal operations that will remain closed until spring 2011. Military personnel interested in visiting those parks should check operating schedules. The remaining parks, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and SeaWorld San Diego are open year round.
